Once violent, Adamo is to be rehabilitated in a small mountain village – in the care of Father Ivan, a good-natured, self-appointed priest who looks after two more lost sheep: Gustav, a former ski racer turned alcoholic and kleptomaniac who emigrated to South Tyrol, and Khalid, a hot-tempered crook. Ivan’s recipe: set yourself a goal and reach it. Adamo wants to bake an apple strudel from the apples of the tree behind the church – but one disaster after another befalls the tree. A black comedy about second chances.
